KWANON a.k.a CANON

CANON, the Global-Chant for the Photographers, had its inception as Kwanon / Kannon in Japan, and interestingly having the translation-roots to Hinduism. 
Kwanon / Kannon means LORD OF COMPASSION in Budhism. Translation as Avalokitêśvara which is a Sanskrit term, masculine in gender, that translates as Lord Who Regards All (avalokita = observe, iśvara = unimpeded). Īśvara, another name for Śiva, Mahêśvara, or Īśvaradeva(the king of the deva), is a likely component of the name Avalokitêśvara.
