One more of Mrs. Weaver...

Baya Weaver / గిజిగాడు female perching in the evening golden light, escorted by the Scaly-breasted munias in the background....!!

Sparrow Sized clever bird found in the Indian sub-continent and parts of Asia.
Build / weave hanging nests generally on thorny trees or palm trees and sometimes hanging over water, in a way to be safe from the predators. Interestingly, they also reinforce the nests with dunk and mud blobs to withstand even the heavy winds.
A popular folk belief in India that these birds stick fireflies with mud to the nest walls to light up the interior.

Counting on the flowers...

Purple Sun Bird - A distant relative of the Humming-bird and and Honey-eater by species, feeds mostly on the nectar, taking the advantage of the curved bill to puncture the base of the nectar-bearing-flowers.. Also feeds on fruits and occasionally on insects.
Lives in a self-built hanging pouch nest, made of cobwebs, lichen and tiny plant material..

Family Tree..!!!

Interesting bird-habitat found at Pragathi nagar lake, currently being dominated by the Painted storks and Geese.
I am still trying to understand the seasonal behavior and migrating habits of the tropical birds.. Surprised to see the increased  population of storks and Geese at this Bird habitat, which used to be dominated by the Ibis, Cormorants, and Egrets..

Indian Cormorant / చెఱవుకాకి / నీటికాకి..

Known to be one among the Hungry Birds, spends most of the time locating, diving, fishing and eating its prey..
(couldn't avoid the slightest of blur and noise, because of the dim light and this fellow's  pace..)
