Simhaasth - Kumbh @ Ujjain - Naaga Saadhu

Naaga Saadhu
A group /  sect of Saivite Sanyaasis (saints) who have a unique behavioral feature drawing the inspiration from Lord Shiva.. Completely Naked or little of times cover themselves with animal skin or a cloth, smear themselves with Ash and have a coil of matted hair. Spend their most time calmly meditating in front of a fire place and smoking Gaanjaa (Marijuana), renouncing from the materialistic world.
It is also said that they were formed as a group of Warriors to protect Hindus from the tyranny of the Mughal rulers.
